Sustraberry Blueberry Premium
Sustraberry Blueberry Premium is a substrate with a coarse structure based on the mixture of selected blonde peat with coir of varying fractions.
The mixture of coir fibres and pith supports this long-lasting substrate to retain its structure and the added perlite ensures drainage and air porosity throughout the plant lifecycle.
Substrate based on a mixture of fine blonde peat, Cocopeat® coconut fibre and perlite. It is a substrate that has great physical stability when transported. In addition, the mixture of white peat and coconut fibre provides a perfect balance for drainage. The proportion of special blonde SOD peat provides nutrients to the substrate, which allow roots to be established properly.
The perlite also provides the necessary aeration of the growth medium. This substrate is, therefore, perfect for plants that, like the blueberry plant, require an acidic pH soil level. The optimum range is between 4.5 and 5.5.

Blueberry Pots
Berrypot Drain pots are designed to improve drainage and aeration of the plant’s root zone in hydroponic blueberry and blackberry crops.
Their design guarantees a soil elevation of 5 cm in soilless crops, which prevents waterlogging at the base of the plant and possible root asphyxia. In addition, the design of the base allows the irrigation rubber to pass through, improving the handling of the pots in the nursery.
They are made of Polyethylene (PE), which guarantees flexibility and high resistance.
DiskProtect Weed Control
Protecting the substrate is very important for crops with a longer vegetation cycle, as unwanted grasses can grow on the substrate base over time, which would damage the crop. Research suggests that South African farmers spend an estimate of +- R40 000 / hectare annually on weed control. When weeds are removed by hand by farm labourers, growing media is spilled on the ground and accounts for more costs to the farmer.
It is a 100% natural protector, made of recyclable coconut fibre. The coconut fibre is treated with 100% natural rubber, sprayed to help maintain the disc’s shape. Unlike other protectors with the same use, it has enough consistency to protect properly, preventing evapotranspiration, but allowing ventilation.
